How to Apply Kinesiology Tape to the Shoulder (Video) | Proworks

Watch: how Proworks kinesiology tape is applied to the shoulder. Filmed in our own studio with Proworks tape. Runtime 34 seconds.

What the video shows

  1. Laying the first strip. A strip is anchored low on the back of the shoulder and laid upward towards the base of the neck, with the anchor end flat and unstretched.
  2. Smoothing it down. The strip is rubbed along its length so the adhesive warms and bonds.
  3. Adding the second strip. A second strip is applied alongside the first, roughly parallel, with a small gap rather than an overlap.
  4. Laying the top strip across. A third strip is brought across the top of the shoulder, over the upper ends of the two vertical strips.
  5. Finished application. Two vertical strips up the back of the shoulder with an upper strip across the trapezius.

The tape used in this video

Every strip is Proworks kinesiology tape — a 5m roll, 5cm wide, 95% cotton and 5% spandex.
