How to Apply Kinesiology Tape to the Ankle (Video) | Proworks

Watch: how Proworks kinesiology tape is applied to the ankle. Filmed in our own studio with Proworks tape. Runtime 27 seconds.

What the video shows

  1. Preparing the skin. The area is clean and dry before any tape is applied.
  2. Measuring and cutting. The strip is cut to length and the corners are rounded so the edges are less likely to catch.
  3. Anchoring. The first section is laid down with no stretch so it holds without pulling.
  4. Applying the strip. The tape is applied along the ankle, following the demonstration.
  5. Activating the adhesive. The tape is rubbed along its length so the adhesive warms and bonds.

The tape used in this video

Every step is filmed with Proworks kinesiology tape, a cotton elastic tape supplied in 5cm x 5m rolls.

Before you use kinesiology tape

This video shows how the product is applied. It is a demonstration, not medical advice, and it is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If you have pain that is severe, that followed an injury, or that is not settling, speak to a qualified healthcare professional. Do not apply tape to broken, irritated or infected skin, and remove it if the skin becomes sore or itchy.
