Proworks Food Flask Storing Fruit

A Collection of Proworks Food Flasks

Here’s a fun fact experienced lunch-packers already know: a thermal food flask to keep food hot increases your options to have fantastic meals on the go by ten folds.

Whether you prefer to pack a crisp salad with a cold sandwich or some hot soup and beans with chili; a high-quality food flask gives you plenty of ways to enjoy your favourite foods, whether you’re at work or just around and about, taking in the sights and sounds.

In anticipation of Proworks’ upcoming launch of our amazing food flask range, here are some of the best hot and cold meal ideas to make the most of your Proworks food flask when they arrive.

Pasta Salad

You’ll hardly ever hear anyone say: “Don’t pack your food flask with pasta”. In fact, pasta salads are never ‘not a good idea’. Everyone loves them and they keep you nice and full for hours. So keep yours in a stylish food thermos and snack on some of this good stuff when you feel the need.

Warm Bean Salad

Bean salads - who doesn’t love them, right? These are always a brilliant option for lunch. Light but hearty and loaded with feel-good nutrients. Especially when they are eaten warm from an insulated food flask to keep food hot, they become all the more satisfying.

Plain Pasta

No one can say no to this Italian classic. It’s simple and easy to prepare and just takes a few innovative ideas like grated Parmesan cheese along with some seasonal spices to make it extra interesting and appetizing.

Delicious Porridge Stored in a Proworks Thermal Food Flask

Savoury Oatmeal

Ah, yes - this one’s a classic and rarely goes out of style when it comes to hot food flask recipes. Oats are not something you should only have for breakfast. In fact, if you keep things interesting by throwing in savoury items like nuts, veggies, cheese, fruits and spices, you can totally call it a complete meal when lunch time arrives.

Warm Chicken Wrap

Even though cold sandwiches are a great way to have a quick and nutritious snack, they can get boring pretty easily. So make your meals more interesting by tucking a warm wrap stuffed with some chicken or beef along with your favourite roasted vegetables in your thermo food flask. Wrap it up in some foil to ensure that it stays extra warm even when you decide to snack on it many hours later.

Scrambled Eggs

While basic, scrambled eggs make for a great breakfast or lunch. Even if you have leftovers from the previous day, go ahead and plunk them in your food flask, and add a few strips of bacon for good measure. Add some carbs to all that delightful protein in the form of a muffin or bagel, and you’re golden.

Chili Cheese Nachos

We all feel a little indulgent at work and want to keep things interesting at lunch break, don’t we? Well, go ahead and make your co-workers a little green by packing your food flask with some chili topped with mouth-watering grated cheese. And now for the secret ingredient: pour over tortilla chips and you’ll be in heaven in no time.

Smoothies

Healthy and invigorating greens is not something you can just have for lunch. Pour some in your insulated food flask and use an insulated bag to keep it extra cool. Just shake a little before lunch and you’re ready for a satisfying antioxidant rush! Try your smoothie with some spinach, orange juice and frozen berries, although there’s a lot of room to experiment according to your own preferences. Our water bottle range are also another great way to store smoothies.

Swiss Muesli

Everybody loves a great muesli! They are loaded with fibre and other essential ingredients to keep your energy levels in check for several hours at a stretch. Just make sure you prepare the ingredients the night before, and then keep your food flask in the fridge. The next morning, you’ll have the perfect muesli to take to work, university or wherever it is you’re planning to go. If you need ideas, then add a banana to your rolled oats, along with milk or juice, honey, chopped nuts and cinnamon. Yummy indeed!

Stew

Good ol’ stew! We know - it sounds rather basic and may not be worthy of your shiny new food flask, but you’d be surprised how a simple soup with your favourite steamed vegetables mixed with some fish, chicken or beef can brighten up the day and recharge your energy levels. Plus, just like curry, stew tends to taste better in leftover form, so by all means, prepare some the night before and enjoy the next day.

Meatballs

Meatballs will forever remain a favourite when it comes to hot lunch ideas. Grab a squishy bun and a few slices of mozzarella cheese and you can enjoy the perfect meatball. You could also use crusty bread as a dip or pack a split roll to turn your meatballs into a nice sub.

Lasagne

What’s that you say? It’s not possible to have lasagne out of a food flask? But, of course it is! Heat it up in the morning, and cut it up into bite-size chunks before stuffing it in with a spoon. There’s no cook book that says it has to look exactly like lasagne to taste great.

Sausage and Eggs

Did you know that standard breakfast items make for fantastic lunches too? Whether you like your eggs scrambled, boiled or in an omelette - just add a sliced sausage or two along with some baked beans and fried mushrooms - ah, you have one amazing lunch to unpack from your hot food flask.
