Specifications

Proworks kinesiology tape is an elastic cotton tape that stretches and recoils with your skin, so you keep a full range of movement while it is on. Filmed and photographed in our own studio - every application guide on this site uses this exact tape.

  • 5m roll, uncut - cut each strip to the length you need
  • 5cm wide
  • 95% cotton, 5% spandex
  • Water resistant and breathable
  • Strong, reliable adhesion
  • Available in a range of colours

How to use Proworks kinesiology tape

Start with clean, dry skin - no lotion or oil, because the adhesive is pressure and heat activated. Round the corners of every strip so the edges are less likely to catch. Lay the anchor ends down flat with no stretch; only the middle section of a strip carries any tension. Rub along the tape once it is on to warm the adhesive.

Frequently asked questions

How long can you wear kinesiology tape?

It is designed to stay on for several days. Take it off sooner if the skin underneath becomes sore, red or itchy.

Can you shower with kinesiology tape on?

Yes. The tape is water resistant. Pat it dry afterwards rather than rubbing, and avoid directing a hot shower straight at the edges.

Is the roll pre-cut?

No. This is an uncut 5m roll, so you cut each strip to the length you need. Rounding the corners helps the edges stay down.

How do you remove kinesiology tape?

Peel it slowly along the direction of hair growth, ideally with the skin warm and damp. Pulling it off quickly is what causes most irritation.

How much stretch should I use?

The anchor ends go down with no stretch at all - only the middle section carries tension. More stretch is not better; it is the most common reason tape pulls at the skin and lifts.

What colour should I choose?

Colour makes no difference to how the tape performs. We offer a range so you can match your kit or pick one you like.

This tape is a support product, not medical advice. If your pain is severe, followed an injury, or is not settling, speak to a qualified healthcare professional. Do not apply tape to broken, irritated or infected skin.
